AL Alarm Exit

ANSI Grade 1 Heavy Duty

The alarm exit provides a simple way to audibly monitor the use of an exit device. The unit contains an alarm which is activated when the push bar is depressed. The alarm sounds at 85 db. The unit operates on one standard 9-volt alkaline battery. When the battery is weak, the horn will emit an intermittent low battery alert signal. Can also be powered using the PS100 Series Power Supply.

The AL requires a standard 1-1/4″ (31.75mm) mortise cylinder which is used as a key switch to perform the following functions:

  • Silence the alarm after activation.
  • Deactivate the alarm for continuous unmonitored egress.
Available for all 1000, 2000, 30 Series devices from 3’0″ (914mm) to 4’0″ (1,219mm) wide doors, decal for application on door

The AL is available with 2 optional circuit boards:

  • External Inhibit (EI) allows the use of external switch to be used to arm, disarm and reset the alarm.
  • Auto Reset (AR) rearms the alarm after a preset time. AR default setting time is 5 minutes, and can be manually switched to 1-1/2 or 3 minutes.

  • The alarm exit is available in kits for retrofit on existing Klacci devices. Specify finish when ordering.

  • Alarm kits are available with a choice of two switch kits, RX or LM. RX monitors the push bar and is furnished standard.
