ELR (Electrical Dogging)

Electric Latch Retraction

ELR provides the ability to remotely retract the latchbolt. Continuous duty solenoid can retract latchbolts under condition of unlatching or continually dogging. The ELR option can be applied with card readers, toggles or key switches, push buttons and fire alarm systems. PS100 power supply is required for the use of ELR option.

  • UL/cUL Listed for Panic and Fire for Class 2 Circuitry.
  • UL/cUL Listed for Panic and Fire for Class 2 Circuitry.

Solenoid Specifications:

  • Current Pulse (0.3 seconds): 24 VDC, 16 Amp.
  • Continuous: 24 VDC, 0.25 Amp.

Signal Switch

Micro-switch Detecting Push Bar

Two internal switches are mounted into the device. One switch is designed to monitor Push Bar assembly. When there is unauthorized use of the device, the alarm will sound once the switch has been activated.

Electrical Ratings:

  • 24 VDC, 2 Amp SPDT.
  • SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw).

AL

Alarm Exit

The alarm exit provides a simple way to audibly monitor the use of an exit device. The unit contains an alarm which is activated when the push bar is depressed. The alarm sounds at 85 db. The unit operates on one standard 9-volt alkaline battery. When the battery is weak, the horn will emit an intermittent low battery alert signal. Can also be powered using the PS100 Series Power Supply.

The AL requires a standard 1-1/4″ (31.75mm) mortise cylinder which is used as a key switch to perform the following functions:

  • Silence the alarm after activation.
  • Deactivate the alarm for continuous unmonitored egress.

Available for all 1000, 2000, 30 Series devices from 3’0″ to

The AL is available with 2 optional circuit boards:

  • External Inhibit (EI) allows the use of external switch to be used to arm, disarm and reset the alarm.
  • Auto Reset (AR) rearms the alarm after a preset time. AR default setting time is 5 minutes, and can be manually switched to 1-1/2 or 3 minutes.

The LM feature is used to signal the use of an opening. This device is equipped with one internal SPDT switch which monitors the latchbolt. The device can be connected to a security console, or may be used as a single door alarm when used with a horn and power supply.

DE

Delayed Egress Device

The Delayed Egress Exit Device provides a controlled egress for openings which require panic or fire exit hardware for safe egress. It is a self contained exit device, when armed it will deny exit to unauthorized personnel for 15 or 30 seconds, while simultaneously sounding a local or remote audible alarm. The Remote Monitoring feature will alert the security personnel that an attempt is being made to exit the opening. After the 15 (or 30) second delay of egress period, the device will function as a standard exit device for safe egress.

Operation:

The device secures the door in the locked mode with a red LED indicating locked status. Depressing the Push bar by accident or for less than the nuisance delay time will sound the alarm without initiating the alarm sequence. Depressing the Push bar with less than 15 pounds pressure, for longer than the nuisance delay time will initiate an irreversible local audible beeping tone and a visual Red indicator until the device releases. After the delay egress time, the lock releases and the alarm changes to a steady tone which continues to alarm until reset. The remote monitoring contact output can be used to alert security personnel.

A “30 Seconds” decal is provided when the 30-second delay option is specified.

The Electric Mortise Exit Devices (E1400) can control entry to remote locking and unlocking the outside trim or an automatic fire alarm system.

The remote has two main functions:

  • To monitor the lock or unlock status through SPDT signal.
  • To monitor the auxiliary latchbolt status through SPDT signal.

The outside trim cylinder can retract the latchbolt as a night latch function.

The Electric Mortise Exit Device is available with the following electrical options:

  • E1400 – Electric lock/unlock with switches to monitor the outside trim (locked or unlocked) and to monitor the latchbolt.
  • SS1400 – Latchbolt and trim locked or unlocked monitoring.

Mortise case Only:

  • E7000 – Mortise case for E1400 model.
  • SS7000 – Mortise case for SS1400 model.

Electrical Ratings:

Mortise Lock is furnished standard as Fail Secure (FSE). When power is off the trim is locked. Power is applied to unlock the trim. May be field converted to a Fail Safe (FS) mode. (FS) – power is applied to lock the trim.

  • Solenoid current: 24 VDC, 0.25 Amp. 12 VDC, 0.5 Amp.
  • Switch rate: 24 VDC, 2 Amp SPDT. SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw).

E300 Series

Electric Trim

Electrified trim with integrated lock/unlock option. Trim can be used for all 1000 Series models. Available as fail-secure or fail-safe.

Power Supply

PS100

 

The PS100 Power Supply is applicable for wide range of electrical products. It has an option to provide key to lock the enclosure. Battery backup has two hours backup power at full load during an A.C. power failure. Batteries will automatically recharge when failed power is restored. Fire alarm provides input for a normally closed fire alarm contact. When the fire alarm contact is “open”, power to locks or other component is removed. Restoring power is field selectable for automatic or manual.

Certification

  • UL/cUL listed as a power supply unit class 2, UL294, UL1034 and ULC-S318 requirements.

Specifications

  • UL/cUL listed for Class 2 output.
  • LED indicators for AC input, DC output and battery backup status.
  • The power supply can control up to (4) delayed egress exit devices.
  • Circuit breakers provide protection for motherboard.

EPT-1 power transfer with steel housing and flexible tube. Secure and inconspicuous channel to bring power from the frame to the door. Narrow, shallow channel easily mortises into door edges. Accepts up to 3/8″ (9.5mm) diameter wire bundle. Accommodates doors that swing open 120 degrees. Unit is concealed when the door is closed. Suitable for wood, aluminum or steel door applications.
